The same four hours, run in the evening instead of the afternoon. You are collected at Hamad International Airport, you spend most of the time in the old market and along the waterfront, and you are back at departures for your onward flight. Nothing about the shape changes.
What changes is the temperature and the light. In July the afternoon here carries a normal maximum of 41.5 °C. By nine in the evening you can walk a market comfortably, and the towers across the bay are lit.

Qatar Tourism tells visitors to seek shade between 10:00 and 16:00. An after-dark route sidesteps that entirely, which is why guides on summer daytime routes are described carrying umbrellas and extra water.
The souq is at its best
Souq Waqif comes alive in the evening. One traveller who took the same route twice, in different seasons, found the midnight city empty and good for photographs and the afternoon lively and busy — two different visits to the same place.
Your connection probably lands then anyway

A night route is the right answer for most summer connections, and the wrong one for several kinds of traveller.
- Anyone who wants a museum interior. Both close at 19:00. Take a daytime route and book before seven.
- Anyone connecting between November and February. Afternoons sit at 21 to 29 °C, so a daytime circuit is comfortable and you keep the light.
