Between June and September a Doha afternoon carries a normal maximum of 41.5 °C. That single number is why this route exists, and why it is worth considering even in the cooler months. The stops are largely the ones a daytime circuit takes; the temperature is twenty degrees lower and the city is lit.

One hundred minutes in Souq Waqif
A hundred minutes is the longest single stop allowance on any departure compared here, and it is spent in the one place that rewards it. That is enough time to reach the falcon souq and its bird hospital, the spice lanes, the camel pen and the Emiri Stables, rather than the main thoroughfare and back.

Both of Doha's big museums shut at 19:00 on most days, so an evening departure is not a museum route. Nothing else on the itinerary closes: the souq, the waterfront, the cultural village and the built island are all open, busier and cooler.
What that saves you is the ticket and the hour. A museum interior costs an hour of a four-hour window plus an admission fee that no departure includes. Spending that hour in the market instead is a defensible trade, and it is the trade this route makes.
